Vintage Consulting utilizes S.M.A.R.T. Goals in their Planning

When you hear the word ‘Greatness’ who comes to mind?
Steve Jobs… Abraham Lincoln, Michael Jordan, etc

Harvard conducted a study from 1993 to 2007 on “Greatness” and found that people who have achieved high levels of success all had same the common denominator of diligence. They all had a great plan.

So, how do we become great?

SMART Goals:

What skills do you need to hit this goal?
Come up with action items to improve these skills.

S- Specific
M- Measurable
A- Attainable
R- Reachable
T- Time Frame

For example; If your general goal is to become a millionaire, how are you actually going to get there? What does being a millionaire mean to you? When do you want to be a millionaire? What is a realistic time frame or action item for you to get there?

Once you set SMART goals, your achievements should come with ease rather than constantly feeling like you are failing to climb that foreseeable mountain.

Great Leaders v. Average Leaders

Great Leaders v. Average Leaders
The secret to leadership is there are no secrets!

Leaders should be constantly bettering themselves in these 5 areas:

1. Find a Purpose – makes the transition from average to great easy!
2. Put People First – not everything is about you
3. Develop Awareness – especially of one’s own knowledge
4. Shun Complexity – less is more
5. Get Personal – understand the value of a quality relationship

A Leader without followers is just walking.

The Philosophy of Winning

Why do you like winning?

Gives you drive/motivation
Feels good/accomplishing
Shiny trophies/prizes
Recognition
Better than losing

Philosophy of winning:

The will to prepare to win = Putting the effort in that others won’t.

To be great at what you do, it’s a daily routine

Everyone most likely wants to be successful at one point or another, but we forget how much it takes the will to prepare to win.

Meet the Vintage Team's Newest Leader

Vintage Consulting is proud to announce it's newest Leadership Promotion! Fiachra has advanced himself from the Entry Level phase into the Account Management position. In this new promotion, he will take on new leadership roles in the office such as training, campaign management and accelerating other skills such as public speaking, presentations and team building exercises.

Meet: Fiachra

Where are you from originally?
Baile Átha Cliath (Dublin, Ireland!).

Where did you grow up?
Dubliner born and raised, I just came to the U.S recently.

What did you study?
Sports and Exercise Management in UCD (Dublin).

What brought you to Vintage Consulting?
I responded to a craigslist ad that caught my eye initially way back in May when I was back home looking for a full time career oriented position upon my arrival into the States.

What are you excited about?
The opportunity to grow within the company and learn key skills that will help me in the future.

What are you interested in outside of work?
1. Sports: watching and playing all kinds of sport mainly Gaelic football and hurling, soccer, cycling and watersports like sailing and surfing. I still need to be sold on the American sports but I have been to some baseball, ice hockey and arena football games before (I did an internship with Tampa Bay Lightning 2 years ago)
2. Traveling: I love to see new places and combine work and travel, hence how I ended up in SF!

Vintage is excited to bring Fiachra onto the Leadership Team at Vintage Consulting, Inc.  He has shown his growth so quickly in the past few weeks and shows he is capable of taking on the role as a Leader to help the growth of Vintage Consulting for our clients.
